BIOGRAPHIES OF THE PROFESSORS



Amrit Singh

imgHe is the Director of Anandaji; A Master of Kundalini Yoga (KY) and a pioneer in teaching Kundalini Yoga in Chile (since1984). He has been studying for 4 years with the teacher Yogi Bhajan in New Mexico (USA) where he learned various Yogic healing techniques, and a KY Trainer of instructors since the year 2000, with an international certification of KRI (Kundalini Research Institute, USA).  During all these years of Amrit trajectory he has been characterized by being a creator of worlds, a psychotherapist, a researcher and a healer for excellence. He participated in Mistic Rose (7 days of laughter, 7 days of tears and 7 days of Zen meditation) in the Osho Resort, Pune. He achieved the process Oneness Deeksha at the Oneness University in India. He inquires into the native path through participation in the searches for vision.

The Creator of the Yoga festivals celebrated at Lake Rupanco at Morada 108, in the X Region, he is the Manager of the Multicultural Center for Human Development, at Los Almendrales de Pirque, in Chile.

Rishi Joseph

imgHe was born in Kerala, in the South of India. In August of the year 2000 in the neighborhood of Bellavista, in a warehouse furnished with few comforts, Rishi held his first class. In December of that year he moved to a headquarters in Ñuñoa, and in June 2006 he inaugurated a second headquarters located in Vitacura. Rishi also maintains close contact with the revered Guru BKS Iyengar, creator of the method that bears his name. In January 2008, after an intensive period of training under his strict supervision, the teacher gave him the certification level of “Junior Intermediate Level II”.



Yanquinao Guasch

profesoresPurna Yogacharini. She is a Master teacher trainer of Purna Yoga. Yanquinao began her practice in the Great Universal Brotherhood. She has taught yoga since 1985 and since 1990 has been dedicated to training teachers in Purna Yoga. She is the founder of the Chilean Association of Yoga and an Advisory Council member of the Pan American Federation of Yoga. She is also the Founder and Director of the Center for Sakhyam Yoga Studies.





Loreto Cortés Salazar

profesoresLoreto started practicing Ashtanga Yoga in 1998. In the year 2001 she went fon her first trip to Mysore, India to study with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath. Since then she has traveled, on five occasions, to study with them. In the year 2004 she received from Guruji (Pattabhi Jois), authorization to teach this method. She currently teaches this method regularly.






Romi Fernanda Balestrin

profesoresA Brazilian, from Florianópolis, she has lived in Chile since 2007, and practiced Yoga since 1997. She is a Yogashala Yoga Teacher, and teaches the Sattva and Prana Shakti Yoga methods. She recognizes the healing power of Yoga, she searches for a practice that seeks to strengthen the body and balances emotions. She teaches with joy by sharing the knowledge and experience, knowing that Yoga is for all who seek the path to a fulfilled life, balanced and happy.





Paola Valenzuela

profesoresIn 1992 she graduated as a Kinesiologist at the Catholic University. Later she studied at the Chilean School of Kundalini Yoga in 1995, and in parallel obtained a Masters in nutrition at the U.C., and within her spiritual restlessness she found the practice of meditation, Vipassana which she studied for 11 years. In 2003, Dr. Francisco Soza invited her to participate in a project of Yogatherapy with Yogashala where she met René Espinoza with whom she practices the Iyengar method.  She has participated in workshops with international Yoga teachers such as T.K.V Desikachar, Arun, Paula Tortolano and Beatriz Tortolano. She is currently preparing for international certification in the Iyengar method, with Professor José Maria Vigar, who was sent to Chile by the Master B.K.S Iyengar. Since 2004 she has collaborated in the forming of Yoga Instructors, and been in charge of the Anatomy and Applied Physiology branch of Asanas, in the Chilean Academy of Yoga.

Klaudio Maturana

imgKlaudio discovered Yoga in 1994 by way of a process and from there he self-studied, and in 1999 he first traveled to India. He lived in Mexico for 5 years, where he studied and practiced with renowned Masters of world level. He has taught, since 2001, the Vinyasa system with adaptations for each practitioner, allowing the hands-on technique to also be present. He teaches in Viña del Mar, Valparaiso and Reñaca in Yoga of the Sun (Yoga del Sol).





Radha

imgRadha is a disciple of Swami Ekananda, and as well holds a degree in Philosophy and is a Yoga Teacher. She holds Yoga and Meditation classes at the Colina Therapuetic Centre and at the University of Chile; as well in Nidra Yoga, History, Physiology, Psychology and Philosophy of Yoga in the formation of trainer programs of the Chilean Academy of Yoga and Surya. She is also a member of the Kirtans Sanguita group.






Marta Saavedra Capurro

imgShe is a Medical Surgeon from the Universidad de la Frontera. She has Postgraduate Studies   in Ayurveda at the University of Buenos Aires, through the Ayurveda Prema Foundation, a collaborating Center of the University of Gujarat, in India. 








Nikola Bahna

imgA Dancer, choreographer and Yoga teacher, she has studied several lines of Yoga; Sivananda, Iyengar, Ashtanga and Advaita Vedanta and various body techniques, such as Alexander, BMC Body Mind Centering and Chi Kung. She is also a body therapist and healer, developing her own alchemy with elements of Shiatsu, Tuina, Choshinho, lattice electro-magnetics and quantum medicine.






Roxana Campos

imgAs a Theater graduate of the U. of Chile, she has worked in several plays, theatre operas and films. Parellel to this she has been polishing her heart and soul, where Yoga has become a critical part of her life.  She holds close ties with the Sufis with whom she has led Dances for Peace, as well as with her brothers in the Way of the Earth, Chamanes and Healers, with which she has studied the medicines the world. Also, a fundamental part in her development has been her brothers in the path to Zen, with whom she has learned the Zazen and Choshinho to finally be present, breathing, being and existing.



Surya D.

imgA facilitator of the Ashtanga method with 7 years of practice in this discipline, he is a Director of the Portal Del Sol,(Gateway to the Sun),is a musician in the band Orixango and a percussion instructor.









Paulina Fuentes Vejar

imgA titled Nutritionist of the U. of Chile, she first came upon Yoga through the GFU, where she began to take her first classes then she trained as a Kundalini Yoga instructor in the School of HARI NAM KAUR KHALSA. Finally in the year 2003 she continued her training with Gustavo Ponce and René Espinoza in the Yoga Shala Center, becoming an instructor of the Iyengar method. She was recently formed as a facilitator of Deeksha, by the Dasas (monks), of the Oneness University in Verona Italy. For the last 3 years Paulina has been the Director of Pranayoga Chillán.




Felipe Cisternas (Guru Fatah Singh)

imgA Kinesiologist from the Andrés Bello University, Master of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, in the Andrés Bello University – St. Augustine University, USA., he holds a Diploma in Holistic Kinesiology, Chile - Spain. He is an International Kundalini Yoga Teacher and is a titled professor in Yoguico Massage as well as an outstanding Therapist for over 10 years in various disciplines such as Yoguico Massage, Sat Nam Rasayan, Tantric Numerology, Shiatsu, Acupressure, Advanced Massage Therapy, Pregnancy Massage, Shantala Massage, Myofascial Massage, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Advanced Relaxation Massage, among others.


Gabriela Silva

imgAn Ecologist, Landscape Architect by profession, her first encounter with Yoga was in the year 2001, where she came to know different teachers and methods. She discovered the benefits of Yoga, both mentally, spiritually and physically when she began to practice Purna Yoga in Sakhyam. In the year 2007 she decided to become a teacher of Yoga, giving classes to both adults and children, specializing in the technique known as Yoga Nidra, delivering in tandem since the year 2000, Reiki therapies.




Vera Guzmán

imgVera is a Graphic Designer. In 2007 she traveled to India and became a Kundalini Yoga instructor. She was given the spiritual name “Gobind Kaur”. She began a magical journey of Happiness ever since.









Ronith Motles D. (Ma Prem Dhara)

imgShe is a Transpersonal clinical psychologist and holds a degree in neuropsychology at the Catholic University of Chile. She is a facilitator of meditations of the "World of Osho”, trained at the Osho Multiversity in India, with 19 years experience. She is a Master of Reiki, initiated and trained in India and Greece. She is also a floral therapist. With 11 years of clinical practice, she integrates vibrational techniques, energies and psychotherapeutic work.





Guru Atma Kaur (Claudia Silva)

imgShe is a Psychologist; personal Tarotist of the Master of Kundalini Yoga, Yogi Bhajan in the USA since the year 1998, as well as an instructor of Kundalini Yoga since that same year, with 20 years of experience in Tarot, and she studies in Chile, Australia, USA and India.








Sat Nishan Kaur

imgShe has practiced Kundalini Yoga since the year 2005, having participated in workshops for Women with Nam Nidhan Kaur, Parent / Child workshops and Prenatal Yoga with Sat Kirpal Kaur and Bhangra workshops with Raga Kaur and all this training inspired her to take the Instructor course in the year 2007 under the guidance of Guru Dass Singh, becoming certified for KRI. Thanks to all she has learned, she has been able to impart to whomever requires it, the grand and beautiful lessons she has experienced. Sat Nishan Kaur is also a Reiki and Yóguico Massage therapist. She participated in the Rupanco Yoga Festival in 2009, becoming energized by its magic and power! This year she will be involved in delivering Bhangra classes and Parent and Child Workshops with her family, and a Chakra Workshop.

Marcelo Peña Villegas

imgHe is a musician, composer, professional percussionist, professor of Musical Education, Goiz Biomagnetism Therapist and Musical Therapist. 










Puran Singh

imgAn Architect of the PUC and a self-taught photographer, he began his practice of Kundalini Yoga with Amrit Singh, then trained as a teacher at the Narayan school in the year 2005. Puran is an enthusiast in the practice of Sadhana, participating in this practice regularly. He has attended several courses related to Kundalini Yoga, and now belongs to the Board of Directors of Langar Chile, an NGO based on Karma Yoga, which gives tasty, vegetarian and healthy food to people in the streets.





Sinmrit Singh

imgSinmrit has been a Kundalini Yoga teacher since 2001. He is a vegetarian chef and was the chef for Master Yogui Bhajan (Master of Kundalini Yoga) and a Yoga practitioner since the year 1997. He is Founder and Vice President of the NGO, Langar Chile, a foundation dedicated to social work with poor people with limited resources.







Guru Darshan

imgA Kundalini Yoga Instructor certified by KRI in the year 2004, he is a Publicist and musician by profession. He began his practice of Yoga over 11 years ago. He has participated in various workshops of Sat Nam Rasayan with Guru Dev, deepening in this powerful technique, his Yogic healing. Also, he specializes in Yogic Massage and Tantric Numerology courses with Guru Das and Shiv Charan Singh. He has practiced Homa Therapy since 1995, and over these years he has conducted numerous workshops on healing through fire. Guru Darshan has taught courses on this science and has had some experiences related to the agricultural application of Homa Therapy and the medications obtained through the ashes of the Agnihotra fire. He is Director of Agni Yoga where he also performs lessons on Kundalini Yoga, Sat Nam Rasayan, Tantric Numerology, Yogic Massage and Homa Massage Workshops. He is a founding member of Langar Chile, currently serving as President of the NGO of the same name.

Orixango

imgORIXANGO is a dance and rhythm company of AFRICA and the world (WORLD MUSIC). It is composed of 7 musicians and 4 dancers who show the spirit and art of indigenous ethnic groups from the West of Africa and the ethnic music of the world (Didgiridoo of Australia, drums of AFRICA, with input from folkloric elements of America), giving ORIXANGO a unique charisma that enchants with all the Force, Magic and Color of Africa, integrating a variety of Dances, Rhythms and Melodies that have been used for millenniums in Tribal Rites of Celebration and Communion.
